The "CIIE", which focuses on imported goods, and the "Canton Fair", which focuses on export goods, echo each other, and they have become the golden business card of China's opening up. The "CIIE" is a major decision of the Party Central Committee to promote a new round of opening up, and it is also the latest carrier to promote high-quality economic development and meet the needs of the people for a better life. Starting from 2018, the "Expo" will be held in Shanghai Hongqiao from November 5 to 10 every year. Its organizers are the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal people's Government, and its partners include the World Trade Organization, the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and many other international organizations.

A total of 58 countries and 3 international organizations participated in the fourth Expo this year. Nearly 3000 exhibitors from 127 countries and regions appeared in the enterprise exhibition, and the number of countries and enterprises exceeded that of the previous one. The enterprise exhibition will continue to set up six exhibition areas for food and agricultural products, automobiles, technical equipment, consumer goods, medical equipment, medicine and health care, and service trade. The top 500 and leading enterprises in the industry have a return rate of over 80%, with rapid development for four consecutive years.

In addition to promoting supply and demand docking, trade matching and other regular functions, the Expo also focuses on creating a series of supporting activities. The first is policy interpretation, including various forms of policy release and trend research and judgment, such as Hongqiao Forum; the second is docking signing, such as demand release and signing ceremony; the third is new product display category, such as new product release, new technology promotion and new service display held by the world's top 500 and industry leading enterprises; the fourth is investment promotion category, such as business environment promotion and industrial docking activities held by governments, parks and institutions; fifth, people to people exchanges, such as intangible cultural heritage, tourism and other related exhibitions, exhibitions and exchanges carried out by governments of various countries and regions; sixth, research and release, such as international organizations, scientific research institutions, various think tanks, etc., hold annual report release and research results sharing activities; there are also country-themed events, professional competitions and fashion shows.

The "CIIE" has become an important platform for my country to serve the Yangtze River Delta regional integration strategy and the "Belt and Road" initiative. In fact, in the process of the development of China's market economy, various exhibition industries, including the "CIIE", have also played a role in matchmaking and promotion for the economic development of various regions. As one of the origins of China's market economy, Wenzhou's exhibition industry has been helping the development of the real economy and forming an exhibition industry with distinctive Wenzhou characteristics.
